Proboscis is a non-profit making company registered in England and Wales.
Proboscis takes its visitors' rights to privacy seriously and believes in the importance of keeping your personal information personal. It will never use your information for any use beyond that stated or the permissions you give us. This Policy does not apply to other entities that we do not own or control or persons that are not our employees, agents or within our control.

Proboscis' site does not use cookies.

IP Addresses and Server Logs
Proboscis' site records IP addresses and produces server logs – as all Web Servers do. This information is used solely for monitoring the volume of traffic the site receives and measuring the number of visitors. We do not use the information for tracking the activities of specific visitors to the site.

Email and Online Forms
Visitors who subscribe to our mailing lists, or complete any of our online forms, may be asked to supply personal data. Such data will be recorded and used only for the purposes indicated on the form.
Proboscis will never use your data for anything beyond the reason stated and the permissions you grant us.
To unsubscribe from our mailing lists please refer to individual list commands, or send an email to info@proboscis.org.uk stating the name of the list you wish to unsubscribe from. Make sure that you enter exactly the same e-mail address as you used to join the list.

Security
Proboscis takes security of personal information very seriously. All data collection is undertaken using industry standards to ensure that the data is collected and stored securely. Access to the data is strictly limited to designated employees of Proboscis and is covered by our own internal security procedures.

Data Protection
Anyone who provides Proboscis with personal information is given the opportunity to manage how that information is used. This includes opting out of any services and restricting the use of that information. You may do this by contacting Proboscis' Data Controller beow.

Accessing your Data
Visitors to Proboscis' site have certain rights under the UK’s Data Protection Acts. You can, for instance, ask to be told what information we hold about you on our databases. Proboscis will provide you with all of the details that we hold about you, both online and offline, upon request. Proboscis reserves the right to charge a £10 administration fee for this process.
